STORY

Ok. So. Here we are now. Olympics. Wow. What a way it was - a Young stallion, imported from Italia, shown in some Little competitions, got some placings - and now participating at the Olympics. "Are you ready?" Pulled out of her thinkings by her father, Miranda shook her head confused. "To be honest - no. I am really excited, and Justi isn't really calm, too..." Curt sighed, glancing a worried looking at the nervously dancing stallion. "Yes, you're right. But still, it's two hours before our starting time. So you have enough time to warm him up really calm and not stressed. Also, there aren't too many People in the warming up ring yet. So you got some space for you two. And stay away from the Mares! You know how he reacts when -" "Dad! I own him for six years! I KNOW this horse! You don't have to tell me anything about him!" Miranda interrupted him, putting the saddle on the stallion's back. "Alright, but please stop shouting at me", he murmured and went to the warming up arena.

Letting the reins as long as possible,  Miranda rode in a calm walk her circles around the Arena - well, at least she felt like. Just a Boy fell in trot every time he saw the possibility, snorted and neighed whenever he heard a strange Sound or saw a mare, put his head high, lifted his tail - showed some stallionness. The mares liked it -  Miranda didn't. She had to hold herself not to shout at the stallion and put him the spurs in for him to concentrate. She just took a deep breath. "Okay, Boy. Listen. If you don't calm down IMMEDIATELY, you'll never ever get a mare anymore. And you will lose your maleness. You want that?" The stallion just put his ears towards her, then concentrated on the Mares again. Oh god. Why did Miranda even think he would understand her? He's a horse, goddam!

After hard, concentrating training, there it was. The big moment. Now they had to show everything they practised all the years for only this one moment. Miranda remembered. The first time she rode him. A Young, unexperienced horse (and the worst, it was a stallion!), never ridden before. Wow, that day was a hard one. And now they're here at the Australian Equine Olypics, participating in a very Grand Prix Level. And the most important Thing: no Mares in the competition Arena. Only them two. That calmed Miranda down at least a bit. "Ok, Girls", Curt said laughing, patting the stallion's neck. "It's time." He had to hold a tear. Miranda knew how proud her dad was on her, even if he himself didn't like dressage that much. But hey, his daughter, his own daughter, trained by him only, participated at the Olympics! What could he be more proud of?

Applause. A proud pair - Young woman and now great, AUSE-Olympics-experienced horse. These were some great moments. Feeling the horse's smooth movements, Fitting the Music. Feeling his breath. His energy. Seeing the People, liking them. Excited to seeing the result. Nervous. But happy to have it done. Wanting to do it again.

Being prepared. Every time.
